After a spontanious yet successful live improvisation earlier this year, Greg Haines & Wouter Van Veldhoven decided to join forces once again in May to record ‘Three Days of Fever’, an album that encompasses the styles and techniques of both artists to full effect. Piano, cello, and various percussion were recorded and altered using Wouter’s wall of tape recorders and Greg’s laptop before being structured into some kind of electro-acoustic ‘song’. Here is a chance to see them on their first batch of live shows since recording together.
Greg Haines (Miasmah rec.) is a musician and composer from England but currently living in Berlin. He has worked and played with the likes of Ben Frost, Jasper TX, Sam Amidon and many more. Greg was last seen in Oslo playing a solo set at Miasmah´s The villa label night 5 months ago. Wouter Van Veldhoven is a dutch sound artist from the Netherlands. As well as recently releasing his debut, he has also appeared on the Digitalis label along with Machinefabriek and Soccer Committee.
Greg & Wouter will release a 12” on “Eat this media records” late august.
